The Municipal Palace of Cuapiaxtla has a neoclassical façade in yellow plaster. The shape of the façade is symmetrical, and shows a main entrance framed by half-fluted panels and a pyramidal pediment supported by two columns, topped with a clock. There are four other doors, two on each side of the main door. It currently has only one bay and the construction of this building dates back to the 19th century.

The festival in honor of the patron saint, San Lorenzo Mártir, is important for its inhabitants. The celebrations begin 9 days before the main date, which is August 10. Daily masses are held in the morning and rosaries in the afternoon. At dawn, at 5 a.m., the procession arrives at the parish church. Later, the traditional "mañanitas" are sung by all the parishioners in honor of the patron saint. At 10:30 a.m., in the atrium of the church, the making of sawdust and flower carpets begins. At 12 noon, the main or festive mass is celebrated, officiated by the bishop of Tlaxcala, during which baptisms, communions and confirmations are held, and, as a final part, the great fair dance is held at 8:00 p.m. On the other hand, at 10:00 pm in the main square the fireworks display begins.
