The Convent of San Ildefonso and Guadalupe in Hueyotlipan dates back to the 16th century. Its façade is mannerist due to the combination of styles, and the circular window in the choir and an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe stand out. The tower, original and unique, is decorated with mortar figures. It has two angels holding the emblem of the House of Austria, birthplace of several Spanish kings, including Charles V.

Hueyotlipan is a Mexican municipality in the western part of the state of Tlaxcala, its name means "on the main or large road" and has beautiful historical buildings such as the Convent of San Idelfonso and Guadalupe dating back to the 16th century, the San Simeon Temple, the Chapel of the Virgin of Light, as well as numerous haciendas such as La Recova, its construction dating back to the 18th and 19th centuries, San Blas, San Lorenzo and many more.
