In the Municipality of Lázaro Cárdenas, the dances of the Negritos, Moors and Christians are an essential part of the carnival celebrations. The musical accompaniment is provided by a brass band, which has accompanied the Moors and Christians comparsa. The name of the musical sounds played always correspond to the plot of the representation known as the "plaza party", "the embassies", "short and long battles", "laments", among others. The carnival takes place on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, before Ash Wednesday. It is organized by the steward. The three days they meet in the morning, between 8 and 10 am, at the steward's house, there they start dancing where they are invited, once the dance is over they are offered refreshments, candy or food, but never money.
