Santa Teresa de Ixtafiayuca is a former pulque hacienda from the 19th century, located in the state of Tlaxcala, about 90 km from Mexico City. In 1860, the Hacienda had 3,500 hectares dedicated to the cultivation of maguey, wheat, corn and barley. From the maguey harvest, 250 barrels of 250 liters each were obtained daily, which were transported by rail to Mexico City. In 1950, the Hacienda was expropriated, leaving 25 hectares and the main house with 6 hectares.

This is set up by the main producers of the region, who also give away some of their products to visitors, as well as natural or cured pulque from the industries established in the municipality.
