Inside the Parish of Santa Catarina Ayometla, the tower has three bodies, the first is shorter than the second, both have a semicircular arch on each side, and the third is a spherical dome with a drum and a lantern, ending with a wrought iron cross. Santa Catarina Ayometla is one of the 60 municipalities of Tlaxcala, its name is ayometitla, a word that translates as "In the aqueduct of the maguey", it has a beautiful religious construction such as the Parish of Santa Catarina, the construction period dates back to the 18th century, from which the festival in honor of the patron saint of the town, Saint Catarina and Martyr of Alexandria, is celebrated on November 25.
Four groups of huehues or knights and a group of charros from the third, fourth and fifth sections participate. The other group of huehues comes from the Cruz Colorada neighbourhood. The music that accompanies their dance is not restricted to a single musical genre and is of diverse origin. They regularly use the "greatest hits of the moment", songs or melodies that are popular on radio and television stations. At the same time, they are songs that are accepted at local fair dances. The festival in honour of the town's patron saint, Saint Catherine and Martyr of Alexandria, is celebrated on 25 November.
