The entrance arch is semicircular and is surrounded by fine mouldings. The interior is covered by a half-barrel vault, with a polygonal head. On the outside there are buttresses, which suggests that the first vault was cross-vaulted or ribbed. At one time the convent atrium was a cemetery, and at its northern end the arches of what was the open or Indian chapel still exist. Only ruins remain of the old convent, and its restoration began recently.
