The basilica in Chignahuapan is built entirely of black quarry, and inside it shelters the Virgin of the Immaculate Conception, the largest virgin in all of Latin America, under a roof with a height of 12m, carved entirely from cedar wood, with a 1m high crown inlaid with precious stones and plated in gold placed on the Virgin.

Municipality

Chignahuapan, which means Over the Nine Waters, is a city located in the northern part of the Mexican state of Puebla. It has architectural buildings such as the Church of the Lord Santiago Apóstol, built in the 16th century in the center of the town, and the largest in Latin America. , colonial buildings also stand.
