The parish of San Sebastián Mártir is a colonial-style religious building, the most important in the community, from which the festivities of San Sebastián and Jesús El Nazareno begin.
Berriozábal is one of the 123 municipalities that make up the Mexican state of Chiapas. It is called Berriozabal in honor of the illustrious liberal who fought the French, Felipe B. Berriozábal. The main tourist attractions are the caves of Pozo Curro, Perro, Perico and the Sabinal pools, as well as its artisanal hammocks typical of the region.
