The Parish Church dedicated to Saint John the Evangelist dates back to the 16th century, located in the municipal seat of Coxcatlán.

Municipality

Holy Week is celebrated, September 15th are national holidays, All Saints' Day and All Souls' Day. December 12th is in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe, Christmas Preposadas, dinner, New Year's Eve mass, at midnight a doll made with old clothes is burned to symbolize the year that is going away and thus welcome the year with new hopes.
