The Canan kax Na ha Tourist Center in Ocosingo is located in the mountains of the eastern state of Chiapas, in the Lacandon Jungle. It has lakes of a karstic nature and is a very important area for capturing rainfall that recharges underground aquifers. Naha was declared a natural area for the protection of flora and fauna in 1998 to contribute to the use and conservation of the natural resources of the area, which has extraordinary ecological importance due to its lagoons and biodiversity.
The municipality of Ocosingo is one of the municipalities in which the state of Chiapas is represented, it is located in the east of the state and includes most of the Lacandon Jungle, its name comes from the Nahuatl word meaning Place of the Black Lord, it has various tourist places such as the Yaxchilán Archaeological Zone, the Toniná Archaeological Zone and that of Bonampak, as well as natural places such as La Laguna Miramar for eco-tourist recreation.
In Ocosingo the most important celebrations are the Fiesta de La Candelaria as well as the Trade Fair and the patron saint's festival which is celebrated from August 13 to 15.
