The Tacaná Volcano in Unión Juárez is the highest peak in southeastern Mexico, located between Mexico, in this case partly in the municipality of Unión Juárez, Chiapas, and Guatemala, and which begins a series of volcanoes in Central America. Its high altitude (4,100 meters) allows one to distinguish all the climate levels and types of vegetation of the Sierra Madre, like nowhere else in the state and the entire Southeast.

Municipality

The municipality of Unión Juárez is located in the south of the State of Chiapas, its name comes from the worthy of the Americas Benito Juárez, and shares the border with Guatemala.
