The Siren waterfall is located in the Ejido el Águila municipality of Cacahoatán, Chiapas, just 25 minutes from Tapachula. The municipality of Cacahoatán is one of the municipalities into which the Mexican state of Chiapas is divided. It is located in the southwest of the state, on the border with Guatemala. Its name comes from the Nahuatl language and its meaning is "place of peanuts or cocoa farmers." Its main tourist attraction is the landscapes that surround the area subject to ecological conservation of the Tacaná Volcano.
