The French company El Baleo, having travelled on a sailing ship, had to cross the Atlantic, go through the Strait of Magellan and continue northwards along the Pacific to reach the Gulf of California in 1895. This collapsible iron temple, 30 metres long, has double-sheet walls with an air space of 33 centimetres in between.
