The Natural History Museum was opened on 9 October 2006 and is located in the city centre and features scientific exhibits including paleobotany, anthropology, geology and skeletons of marine mammals, birds and reptiles.

Municipality

Los Cabos is one of the five municipalities of the state of Baja California Sur before being called San José del Cabo, the Pericues named it Anuiti, it also received the name of San Bernabé, it is one of the most important tourist destinations in Mexico, for its variety of eco-tourism destinations and activities such as the Natural Arch of Cabo San Lucas, whale watching and various beaches.

The most important festivities in the area are Saint Joseph's Day and the founding of San José del Cabo, during which they wear traditional clothing such as the Pitahaya Flower and Cuera dresses.
