The Guadalupe Temple of Comitán de Domínguez was built in 1907, in the middle of orchards and maguey fields in the western outskirts. As is usual in Comitán, the stylistic elements (patterning, Corinthian columns, denticulated cornice, garland finish) were used with great freedom, combining them on the façade with pointed openings taken from the Gothic style.
