The Church of San Lorenzo in Zinacantán is a sacred space framed by the hills that surround the small valley, of colonial origin but remodeled at the beginning of the century according to the taste of the neoclassical San Cristóbal, and the chapels of Esquipulas and San Sebastián.

Municipality

The municipality of Zinacantán is one of the municipalities that make up the state of Chiapas, it is well known for the manufacture of colorful fabrics, its name is of Tzotzil origin meaning Place of Bats, where the sacred spaces are marked by the hills that surround the small valley and the complex formed by the San Lorenzo church, of colonial origin but remodeled at the beginning of the 20th century and the chapels of Esquipulas and San Sebastián. The main tourist attractions are the Antzetik Tajteklum Museum, the archaeological remains belonging to the Mayan culture, located in the municipal seat and the San Lorenzo church.
