The municipality of Zinacantán is one of the municipalities that make up the state of Chiapas, it is well known for the manufacture of colorful fabrics, its name is of Tzotzil origin meaning Place of Bats, where the sacred spaces are marked by the hills that surround the small valley and the complex formed by the San Lorenzo church, of colonial origin but remodeled at the beginning of the 20th century and the chapels of Esquipulas and San Sebastián.
