The House of Culture was founded on May 13, 1991 and was one of the first buildings in Loreto. It belonged to the first delegate of Loreto, when it was a sub-delegation and belonged to the municipality of Comondú, here it was the first sub-delegation, the delegate was Don Filiberto Bareño Verdugo. The building was adapted to house the House of Culture of Loreto.
It is one of the 5 municipalities located in the central part of the Mexican state of Baja California Sur.
