The Tziscao Tourist Center in La Trinitaria, located 61 km from the city of Comitán, on the southern border highway, has more than 30 lagoons in the surrounding area, which can be visited on short horseback or bicycle rides. La Trinitaria (formerly Zapaluta) its name means in Nahuatl "Way of Dwarves", is a municipality located in the southeast of Mexico in the state of Chiapas, known for its natural, historical and archaeological attractions, among them are: Lagunas de Montebello National Park, Lagos de Colón, Parador Santa María Museum, former San José Coneta convent, the Parish of the Holy Trinity, the ruins of the pre-Columbian city of Chinkultic in the cold zone, and in the warm zone the ruins of Lagartero, among others.
