The Laguna Chincultik Tourist Center in La Trinitaria has facilities located around the Chincultik archaeological zone; to the northeast is the Laguna de Chanujabab and to the northwest is the Laguna de Tepancuapa, which are part of the lagoon system of the Lagunas de Montebello National Park, where you can enjoy various activities in a temperate climate at different times of the year.
La Trinitaria (formerly Zapaluta) its name means in Nahuatl "Way of Dwarves", is a municipality located in the southeast of Mexico in the state of Chiapas, known for its natural, historical and archaeological attractions, among them are: Lagunas de Montebello National Park, Lagos de Colón, Parador Santa María Museum, former San José Coneta convent, the Parish of the Holy Trinity, the ruins of the pre-Columbian city of Chinkultic in the cold zone, and in the warm zone the ruins of Lagartero, among others. It is a municipality full of history, culture and traditions, its inhabitants (Los Zapalutecos, Caramelos or Trinitarenses), are kind, generous and respectful, they stand out in different fields (local and international).
In La Trinitaria the most important celebrations are the Feast of Saint Sebastian, the Eternal Father, the Trinity, the Holy Cross and the Virgin of Guadalupe.
